The NHL Entry Draft in Columbus could have some strong local ties over the next two days.

The Swift Current Broncos could see two to four players selected by NHL teams including defenseman Eric Doyle.

The Calgary native dropped off in the final Central Scouting rankings to 69th among North American skaters, but says that he's learned to deal with the NHL naysayers.

"It was a bit disappointing at first (dropping to 69th), but for all I know, Central Scouting may have not seen me play that much", says Doyle. "What would be the point of the draft if we just went by the rankings? I'm not too concerned with it."

The Eagle 94.1 will have live draft coverage from the Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus.   Round one begins late tomorrow afternoon. Coverage of rounds two through seven begins Saturday morning.
