Jamie Benn, Valeri Nichushkin and Ryan Garbutt all scored and former Swift Current Broncos Captain Cody Eakin picked up an assist as the Dallas Stars breathed new life to beat the Ducks 3-0.

Eakin has two points so far in the playoffs.

Kari Lehtonen made 37 saves for the shutout as the Stars cut the Ducks' series lead to 2-1. Game four is Wednesday in Dallas.

Corey Crawford made 34 saves in his third career post-season shutout, and the Chicago Blackhawks got back into their playoff series with the St. Louis Blues with a 2-0 victory in Game 3. Jonathan Toews scored in the first period and Marcus Kruger added an empty-netter as Chicago bounced back after a pair of overtime losses in St. Louis. Game four is Wednesday in the Windy City.

Mikael Granlund scored five minutes into overtime to lift the Minnesota Wild over Colorado 1-0. The Avalanche lead the series 2-1 with game four set for Thursday. In Columbus, the Penguins came from behind to beat the Blue Jackets 4-3 and take a 2-1 series lead in their best-of-seven set. Pittsburgh was down by two goals in the third period. Game four goes Wednesday.

Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens can sweep their way to the second round, as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning holding a 3-0 lead in their first round series (5:00pm, CBC). Meanwhile, Habs forward and Stewart Valley native Travis Moen appeared closer to rejoining the lineup after suffering a concussion last month. He was cleared for contact on Monday and took part in his first full practice since his injury on March 28th. He told reporters afterwards that he was "two to three practices away from playing."

The other games tonight have the Boston Bruins visiting the Detroit Red Wings with the series tied up at a game apiece (5:30pm, TSN2), and the New York Rangers head to Philadelphia after splitting the first two games of the series with the Flyers (6:00pm, Sportsnet 360). Action wraps up with Aneroid's Patrick Marleau and the San Jose Sharks travelling to Los Angeles, holding a 2-0 lead over the Kings (8:00pm, CBC).
