After being left off the initial roster, Broncos forward Cody Eakin will get a look to compete for a spot at the World Junior Championships this December and January in Saskatchewan.

The World Junior development camp takes place August 5th-10th in Saskatoon and will feature Canada’s top 45 Under 20 players available for the 2010 IIHF World Junior Tournament hosted by the Province of Saskatchewan.

"I wasn't originally on the sqaud but I got a call from the coach (Will Desjardins) and he said you're next up on the list. Sure enough someone got hurt and I got the call yesterday," commented Eakin from his home in Winnipeg.

Eakin has previously represented Canada twice on the International stage, most recently at the World Under 18 championships in North Dakota this past Spring. Swift Current will host a World Junior pre-competition game in December.
