Swift Current Bronco Captain Cody Eakin made his mark as Canada beat Sweden 4-1 in a World Junior Hockey Championship pre-tournament game last night in Toronto.

Eakin scored an empty-net goal late in the game to seal the victory; it's his second point in the two exhibition games.

Brayden Schenn, Zack Kassian and Ryan Johansen also scored for Canada, with Moose Jaw Warrior forward Quinton Howden picking up a pair of assists.

Team Canada wraps up the pre-tournament schedule on Thursday against Finland in Kitchener, and the real games start on Boxing Day with a match against Russia in Buffalo.
