Eetu Laurikainen black pads centre
Finnish goaltender Eetu Laurikainen is the latest European goalie the Broncos hope will come over and possibly start for the club. There are some concerns after last years pick though. The Broncos picked Norwegian goalie Steffen Soberg sixth overall last year. After signing a WHL contract and coming over for training camp, Soberg went home and ended up playing in the Norwegian league.
"I'm pretty excited, it's a new challange and I look forward to it." said Laurikainen
The Broncos did do their homework though as they contacted Laurikainen to gage his interest before drafting him.
"They just want to know that i want to come there what i want exactly."
Laurikainen played hockey last year in the Finnish Elite League with J-Y-P posting a a 3.15 goals against average and .919 save percentage in twenty-six games played.
