Even though golfers are getting some great weather this week, the season is still winding down.

The Elmwood Golf and Country Club in Swift Current has a couple more tournaments left this season, including the 2nd annual Lobsterpot this Saturday.

"We're flying in lobster for a steak and lobster supper on Saturday, and we decided to have some fun golf around it, and what better way to have golf than bigger golf holes to shoot at?" said Head Golf Pro Jeff Chambers. "Everybody complains that the holes are too small, but now we've got lobsterpot-sized holes. They're 14-inch holes and it's neat to see them out there. It's just a blast when you're shooting at those holes, especially when you miss a putt from ten feet, you wonder 'how did I miss that one?' but it's a lot of fun."

The tournament will support Students Helping Students, and Chambers says it is almost sold out with just 12 spots remaining. The entry fee is $70.00 for Elmwood members and $100.00 for non-members, and includes cart and supper.

You can get a spot by calling the Elmwood at 306-778-4653.
