Jordan Evans

The Swift Current Broncos are going to be without veteran defenceman Jordan Evans for the rest of the season.

Shawn Mullin reports:

Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb says Evans is no where close to playing after suffering a concussion in October.

“It's too bad for him, especially (because he's) a 92 player and whether he was here or we would've had to trade him, he creates a lot of value for our franchise. If he's on our team then it gives us the depth to move somebody else and bring somebody in here and help our team. When you lose a kid like that, with his type of character...you ruin an asset for now and for your future.”

Lamb says there is no time table for Shea Howorko's return either, although he is starting to make some progress.

“He says he has some good days. Before it was all bad days and now there are some good days in there, so its improving.”

Andy Blanke is good to go after missing the third period on Tuesday as a precaution after a fight.

The Broncos are in Regina tonight, live at 6:30pm on The Eagle 94.1 FM.
