Andy Fantuz back with the Riders

Fans and the media gathered at Mosaic Stadium yesterday to get a glimpse of Andy Fantuz, who has returned to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Fantuz was released by the NFL's Chicago Bears last week, and says he was excited to return to the Green and White.  "I want to get some cardio in for the week and get game ready.  The offence, I got it back I think, I feel pretty comfortable out there.  Darian (Durant) threw me some couple balls to get back into the feel of things, so I'm ready to go."

Quarterback Darian Durant says tossing to Fantuz felt like old times.  "We have a certain chemistry that we've developed over the years.  It seems like we never missed a beat, it felt good and hopefully we can let that carry over to game day."

Fantuz is expected back in the Riders lineup this weekend, and he says he's ready to go for the Banjo Bowl.  "To be honest with you, I was hoping to play last weekend, but couldn't do it with the terms and the rules.  I'm ready to go, I've been playing football for a month now just not in the same offence, but I'm ready to go."
