Taylor Vause and Brad Hoban attempt to connect versus the Regina Pats.

Two of the longest tenured Broncos in franchise history say goodbye to Swift Current with their final home game tonight.

Captain Taylor Vause has mixed emotions.

“It's kind of sad feeling. Just I think proud of everything that has gone on. I've had a good career, especially finishing it off with such a good season. Playing the last two games it's exciting, sad, nervous, a lot of things kind of coming together. I think (I'm) just wanting to finish it on the best note possible.”

Brad Hoban is wrapping up his fifth season with the Broncos and says he's spent one quarter of his life with the team.

“The person I am today is largely in part to growing up here. It's been a long road since I first showed up for camp at age 15, now I'm finishing the last few games at age 21, it's kind of surreal.”

Tonight is also the last game in Swift Current for overage goaltender Jon Groenheyde. He is saying thanks to Bronco fans.

"They come and support us. They're loud for us. It's been awesome. I really enjoyed my time here in Swift Current and I really enjoyed the fan support; and even people coming up to me and saying nice things. It's been awesome."

It's Fan Appreciation night at the Credit Union iPlex as the Broncos host the Blades for their final home game of the 2011-2012 season. As of last night the Bronocs had sold 2000 tickets for the game and they are expected a big crowd.

Puck drop is at 7:05pm at the Credit Union iPlex. Our broadcast starts at 6:30pm on The Eagle 94.1 FM.
