It will be another Battle Royale in the WHL playoffs this year, as the Brandon Wheat Kings face the Edmonton Oil Kings for the third time in four seasons.

The Wheat Kings have the top seed in the Eastern Conference while the defending Memorial Cup Champion Oil Kings picked up a wild card spot.

The best-of-seven series will begin next Thursday in Brandon.

The other WHL playoff matchups have yet to be set, as many of the playoff races will go down to the final weekend. The Swift Current Broncos lead the Moose Jaw Warriors by two points for the last playoff spot in the East Division and both teams have two games to play. The Broncos have a home and home with the Hurricanes starting Friday in Lethbridge, while the Warriors will have a pair of games with Brandon.
