The NHL regular season fired up earlier this month and five former Swift Current Broncos have cracked their respective club's rosters.

Boston Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk, Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry, Buffalo Sabers forward Cody Eakin, Dallas Stars forward Justin Dowling, and Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner are the five players to make an NHL team after 12 former Broncos attended NHL training camps.

2018 WHL champion Skinner didn't make the Oilers squad out of camp but an injury to goalie Mike Smith early on has given the Edmonton native a chance to dress with the team recently.

A handful of the seven Broncos cut to appear on NHL team's taxi squads this year, just an injury away from getting playing time. Flordia Panthers forward Aleksi Heponiemi, St. Louis Blues goalie Joel Hofer, Dallas Stars defenceman Julius Honka, and Dallas Stars goalie Landon Bow.

Meanwhile, three of the players cut were sent to the minor leagues: Calgary Flames forward Glenn Gawdin, Arizona Coyotes forward Lane Pederson, and Carolina Hurricanes defenceman Max Lajoie.
