Twenty-three days away from Opening Day, the Swift Current 57's have announced their infield for the 2017 WMBL season.
Following the announcement that first baseman Kyle MacDonald would be returning to the team, the 57's have rounded out the rest of the infield.
From Meadow Lake, Brett Esau will be joining the club, along with Edmonton’s Tauren Langley, Elvis Peralta from Lowell, Massachusetts, Daniel Diaz out of Wilcox, Arizona and Grant Van Scoy from La Vista, Nebraska.
57's Head Coach Joe Carnahan feels very good about the new recruits.
"All five are very talented young players," he said.
"They bring a good mix of power, speed and versatility and will be very exciting players to watch this summer."
