Foggy conditions late in Monday's game at Mitchell Field

Another late-inning collapse cost the Swift Current Indians a win last night, as the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets would score the winning run on a passed ball in the top of the 9th inning to take the game 5-4.

"We just got to have attention to detail," said Indians Coach Joe Carnahan. "Right now, we're just not doing the little things that bring success to yourselves, we're doing things that make you unsuccessful."

Taylor Steen and Justin Lee had two RBI each and despite the loss, Marc-Andre Habeck had a solid debut, pitching eight innings of four-run ball and striking out eight.

Just as the Tribe's early season struggles are continuing, so are their struggles with the weather as the game was delayed for 50 minutes by rain, and there was another delay late in the game by fog build-up at Mitchell Field, and Carnahan said the fog spolied an otherwise good outing for Habeck.

"He got unlucky there when we lost the ball in the fog which brought in two runs, and that never happens" he said. "He was absolutely outstanding and I'm very happy with him. He's going to do a good job for us next year."

The Indians head into tonight's matchup against the Regina Red Sox with a 6-8 record and are 2-1/2 games back of the division leading Moose Jaw Miller Express.

First pitch is at 7:05pm from Mitchell Field, and you can catch the game with Full Line Ag Indians Baseball on the Eagle 94.1.
