The High School Comp Colts and the Swift Current Minor Football program begin a new season this week.

The Comp Colts will have equipment hand-out tomorrow afternoon, and practices will begin on Friday.

Head Coach Derek Murdoch says there is some excitement within the program, to continue building in the right direction.  "We are feeling really good.  We have an outstanding group of grade 12s," commented Murdoch.  "We've been waiting for awhile to get things going.  We had a pretty good end of the season last year, and you want to build and keep that momentum going.  We're all pretty excited."

The Colts will open their regular season against the defending league champion Moose Jaw Vanier Vikings.

The Swift Current Minor Football program has equipment hand-out planned for Thursday and Friday.  Atom Players can meet at Fairview School from 6:30-8:00pm on Thursday; Pee Wee and Bantam players' equipment hand-out is Friday from 6:30-8:00pm.  There are some spots open for new players; the cost is just $150.  Players can just show up to the equipment hand-out.
