Former Swift Current Broncos captain and 2012-13 WHL MVP Adam Lowry is Western Conference Finals-bound, where at least one familiar face awaits on the opposing roster.

Lowry and the Winnpeg Jets routed the Nashville Predators 5-1 in Game 7 of their second-round Stanley Cup playoff series Thursday night, and are set to face off with the expansion Vegas Golden Knights.

The towering 6-foot-5 Lowry was held off the stat sheet in the series win, and has tallied two assists over 11 playoff games so far.

Coming into the playoffs however, Lowry didn't seem to have too much trouble scoring, as he did post a career-high 0.47 points-per-game average - the only downside for the St. Louis, MO-born forward was making just 45 appearances in the regular season, good for 21 points (8 G, 21 A).

Lowry posted 204 career points (90 G, 114 A) in 235 games from 2010-13 with the Swift Current Broncos, donning the 'C' for his final, and MVP-winning season.

Meanwhile, opposite Lowry, is the captain from his first season in the WHL - Cody Eakin.

Eakin repped the 'C' for 30 games of the 2012-13 season for the Broncos, racking up 39 points (18 G, 21 A), before a trade deadline deal sent the Winnipeg-born forward to the Kootenay ICE.

The 6-foot, 183-pound Eakin boasts 239 career WHL points in 238 games from 2007-2011, and this season in 'Sin City' had 27 in 80 regular season games to go along with an additional four (1 G 3 A) in 10 playoff appearances so far.

Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between Eakin, Lowry, and their respective clubs goes 5 p.m. on Saturday in Winnipeg.
