The Southwest was represented by 6 senior curling teams at the SHSAA regional curling.  

Ponteix and Swift Current Comp were at Biggar for the boys' competition.  

Meanwhile Maple Creek and Hodgeville girls were at Rosetown.  

The mixed teams representing us were Hodgeville and Shaunavon.
    
All three categories were won by SWAC teams!  

The Maple Creek girls captured the A side and the regional title with wins over Glentworth and Hodgeville.  

Congrats to skip Brooke Martin, 3rd Anu Maalerud, 2nd Hannah Forbes, lead Josey Robinson, spare Makayla Scheller and coach Marla Martin.  

The Hodgeville girls came through the B side and will also advance to provincials.

Hodgeville won their first two games over Central Butte and Dinsmore but lost to Maple Creek in the A final.  

They beat Glentworth in the B final.  

Both teams will now play in SHSAA provincials on March 4 and 5 in Meadow Lake.
    
The Hodgeville mixed team composed of skip Hillary Sauder, third Ben Kerr , second Emma Krauchek,  lead Tyson Petersen, spares Teagan Newton and Ryelee Bekker, coach Michelle Potapinski beat Moose Jaw Peacock and Avonlea to the win the A side.
 
They will now travel to Meadow Lake for provincials on March 4 and 5.  

Shaunavon also took part in the mixed category but lost to Avonlea and Moose Jaw Peacock and were eliminated.  
    
The boys' team from Swift Current Comp defeated Assiniboia and Mossbank to win the regional title.  

The team was composed of skip Brendan Ross,  3rd Theo Lautsch, 2nd Tanner Ewert,  lead Steven Hughes and coach James Kissick.  

The team will now take part in SHSAA provincials in Assiniboia on March 4 and 5.  

The Ponteix boys also took part at regionals but losses to Mossbank and Ponteix eliminated them from further play.
