The Saskatchewan Roughriders have hired Saskatchewan-native Brendan Taman as the club's new General Manager and, in the process, they promoted Ken Miller to oversee the football operations.

Taman was hired by the Riders a few months ago to assist on the football operations, and now they've moved him to the General Manager role.

Taman, 43, a Saskatoon native, has previous experience as a CFL General Manager with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, but he left the club following the 2008 season.  He has also worked previously with BC and Ottawa, and served as a player-personnel assistant with the Riders.

The Riders also announced that Head Coach Ken Miller will simultaneously hold the title of Vice President of football operations.
