The scout room will be staying busy in Swift Current for the rest of the 2014-15 season.

Broncos forwards Glenn Gawdin and Jake DeBrusk have jumped from 'B' level prospects on the NHL Central Scouting watch list at the beginning of the season to 'A' level prospects on this week's list. 19-year-old Goaltender Landon Bow moved from off the list to a 'C' level prospect.

"(Bow) has been absolutely amazing and both those two young guys have improved a lot," said Broncos Coach/GM Mark Lamb. "All those guys are rated for a reason. They've played very good hockey and they deserve it."

DeBrusk and Gawdin are third and forth in scoring for the Broncos. DeBrusk has 10 goals and 12 assists in 25 games, while Gawdin has struck for 7 goals and 11 assists. Both are in their first year of draft eligibility.

Bow leads the WHL in goals against average, save percentage, saves, minutes played and shutouts.

"We were very confident in him," Lamb noted. "He's grown so much. I think Eetu (Laurikainen) really helped him out. Giving him the right games last year and letting him grow a little bit. That development is so important. Everyone wants to be there right at the start, but you just can't be there right at the start. Unless you're a very special player there are certain steps you have to go through on and off the ice."

"He's been absolutely incredible."

Those three players will help draw scouts to the Credit Union iPlex all season.

"That's what it's all about," Lamb said. "These players want to move on, they want to play in the NHL. Not only these draft prospect guys, but when you get these scouts coming into your building they start talking about your whole team. It's a total trickle down effect. If you play good you're going to get recognized."

Swift Current has been producing a good number of draft picks in recent years including three picks in the first three rounds last spring.

The Broncos are in Prince Albert on Friday night.
