For the second year in a row, a Swift Current Broncos player could hear his name called in the first round of the NHL Draft.

Forward Jake DeBrusk has been ranked 24th among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Mid-term Ranking released on Tuesday. DeBrusk has averaged a point per game this season with the Broncos, scoring 25 goals and 21 assists in 46 games.

Forward Glenn Gawdin was ranked 37th on that same list. He has 12 goals and 36 points in 46 games for the Broncos. Gawdin also learned this week he will be joining DeBrusk at Thursday's CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in St. Catharines, Ontario. Gawdin will be on Team Orr for that game, while DeBrusk will suit up for Team Cherry.

Erie Otters forward Connor McDavid was ranked number one among North American skaters with American Jack Eichel ranked second. Seattle Thunderbirds centre Matthew Barzal was the highest-ranked WHL player at 9th.

Barrie Colts goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood was ranked number one among North American goalies, and Medicine Hat's Nick Schneider was the highest ranked netminder in the WHL at 8th. Broncos goaltender Landon Bow, who leads the WHL in shutouts and saves, was not ranked on the list despite being named a "C' level prospect to watch by Central Scouting in November.

The 2015 NHL Entry Draft goes June 26-27 in Sunrise, Florida.

The Broncos return to action on Friday night when they visit the Calgary Hitmen, and then take on the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook on Saturday.
