A good start to the IIHF U18 World Championship for Swift Current Broncos forward Glenn Gawdin and Team Canada.
Gawdin had an assist in an 11-6 victory over Latvia this morning.
Jeremy Roy led the way with a hat trick for Canada, while Moose Jaw Warriors netminder Zach Sawchenko got the win in goal.
Canada also won pre-tournament games over Germany and Slovakia.
They play host Switzerland on Saturday.
