A southwest hockey product was the top scorer at the Esso Cup National Female Midget Championships this week in Regina.
Brienna Gillanders of Kyle had 17 points (7 goals, 10 assists) for the Notre Dame Hounds in the tournament.
The Hounds made it to the championship final yesterday, losing 4-3 to the Thunder Bay Queens.
