The Men's and Woman Volleyball Teams at Great Plains College are gearing up for their first tournament this weekend.
Mona Patterson is the SunDogs Athletics and Recreation Coordinator and says there are some exciting changes with the women's team with two new coaches.
Briana Wilms as Head Coach and Assistant Coach Brittany Snow will be leading the team this year.
"They ran our woman's session for the scouting camp in August. I have been able to spend a lot of time with them here at the college and I think they are going to bring a lot of completive, positive energy to the court," said Patterson.
For the men's volleyball team coaches have stayed the same with Head Coach Travis Cuthbert back for his 3rd season and Assistant Coach Gerod Wiens.
Patterson said she has been really impressed with the men's coaches that have worked for the team for the past couple of years.
"Their teams play for them; I've watched the last couple of years and they work so well with their athletics. They are very involved coaches they take part in a lot of the skills and drills," added Patterson.
The Volleyball teams now gear up to travel to Three Hills, Alberta where they will play against Prairie Bible College.
