Another graduated Bronco is moving to minor pro hockey.

Goaltender Jon Groenheyde has signed up to play for the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League.

Groenheyde spent most of his final WHL season with the Broncos after also playing for Edmonton and Kamloops.

Fellow graduating Bronco Taylor Vause recently joined the AHL's Texas Stars for the rest of the season.

"He really came on in the last part (of the season)," said Broncos Coach/GM Mark Lamb. "It's a little different with goaltenders because there aren't a lot of spots. I think he deserves a chance and it's a great opportunity for him to... gain some attention in the pro ranks."

Meanwhile, the Broncos look to the future as the WHL holds their draft lottery today.

Swift Current sits in 5th position and could move up 2 spots to 3rd if they win the lottery.

The only have a 9.5% chance of winning it.
