Swift Current's Marc Habscheid is starting a new chapter in his career. The longtime coach recently moved from Coach and GM of the Victoria Royals to another job in his owner's organization working on a variety of hockey projects.

So would he ever get back in the coaching game?

"Oh I might for sure but it's good. I've been in the business in Jr. and Pro for 30 years now so it's good to take a little bit of a break and do something different," said Habscheid. "I'm enjoying what i'm doing a lot but as far as getting back never say never."

His new job has his finger in several different pies.

"I'm working with the owner now and it's been a lot of fun," Habscheid noted. "I've spent some time with him and it's different hockey related ideas or areas within the game and it's been a lot of fun so far, I've enjoyed it and he's been great to work for so far."

Habscheid was in Swift Current for the first Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame banquet. He spearheaded the concept of putting the hall in Swift Current and was really impressed with the results of the board's hard work.
