It was just a matter of when and where.  Now local hockey product, Marc Habscheid, has broke into the NHL as an Associate Coach with the Boston Bruins in an announcement made Thursday.

Habscheid has coached in the SJHL with Melfort, in the WHL with both Kamloops and Kelowna.  He spent the last two years with Hockey Canada before making the jump to Boston.

The Wymark native interviewed for head coaching positions in Vancouver, New Jersey and Boston and will work with newly appointed head coach, Dave Lewis, with the Bruins.

Habscheid is back home in the Southwest.  He's set to co-host a charity golf tournament with Nancy Harvey in two weeks at Elmwood.
