The Teejay Haichert rink from the Swift Current Curling Club is off to the Viterra Scotties Provincial Women's Curling Championships coming up in January.

Haichert, Janelle Tyler, Kelsey Dutton and Allie McMillan won the C-event qualifier at southern playdowns 8-5 over Jana Tisdale from the Highland in Regina to get one of four spots from the south.

The 12-team field is all set with four more teams coming in from northern playdowns, and recent provincial champions Stefanie Lawton, Michelle Englot and Amber Holland also qualifying through season rankings.

The provincial championships start January 8th in Tisdale, with the winner representing Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts starting February 1st in Montreal.
