Hurricanes Harvey
Hurricanes goalie Eric Harvey registered the shutout in last night's 3-0 win over Regina

Despite having the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds snap their mini two game win streak on Friday, the K-Motel Midget 'AA' Hurricanes used the rest of the weekend to build a new one.

The Hurricanes quickly bounced back from their loss on Saturday when they went on the road to defeat the Lumsden/Bethune Lions 4-3.

With the game tied 3-3 late in the third period, Swift Current forward Dryden Smith found the back of the net, giving the Hurricanes a 4-3 lead with just 3:09 remaining in the game.

The Swift Current win kept the Lions winless so far this season, dropping them to 0-14-1.

Then last night at the Fairview Arenas, the Hurricanes welcomed the Regina Capitals.

Swift Current goalie Eric Harvey turned aside every shot he faced in the contest propelling the Hurricanes to a 3-0 victory over the Capitals.

The two weekend wins improved Swift Current's overall record to 4-11, pulling them within seven points of Moose Jaw for the final playoff spot.

Next up for the Hurricanes will be a home game on Sunday when they host the Notre Dame Argos.
