Swift Current Broncos defenceman Dillon Heatherington and Team Canada advanced to the semi-final of the IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship with a 6-0 win over the Czech Republic today.
Heatherington played 18:34 and was +1 with 2 minutes in penalties.
Connor McDavid led the way for Canada with his second consecutive hat trick and Canada has now won all five games they've played at the tournament.
They will take on Finland tomorrow.
The other semi-final pits the host Russians against the United-States.
Heatherington was listed 31rst among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft yesterday.
