Canada's National Junior team will get its first taste of international action when it faces Russia in an exhibition game tonight at Toronto's Air Canada Centre.

Canada currently has 25 players on its World Junior Championship roster, but will need to be down to 22 by Christmas Day. Swift Current Broncos defenceman Dillon Heatherington is still fighting for a spot on the final roster with one more cut left to make on the blueline.

Canada opens the World Juniors December 26th against Slovakia in Montreal.

Meanwhile, former Bronco Julius Honka will play for Finland again after the Dallas Stars officially loaned him to the team. He currently plays for the Stars' AHL affiliate and is expected to report for international duty after the Texas Stars' game on Sunday. Honka won gold for Finland at last year's tournament during his only season with the Broncos.
