Both Herbert School Laurels soccer teams were in 1A Regional action this past weekend, as the girls' side hosted a Regional in Swift Current, while the boys' team was in North Battleford.

The girls' team fell in the semifinal 1-0 to Dalmeny, but the boys' side fared very well.

The Laurels beat Maymont in a high-scoring 5-4 semi-final, and once again snuck out a one-goal win against Moose Jaw Vanier 3-2 in the final to capture the Regional title.

Along with the Regional title came a berth at SHSAA 1A Boys Soccer Provincials hosted in Middle Lake.

The Laurels boys team is off to the central Saskatchewan community for the October 27 and 28 tournament with a 9 a.m. start in the opener of the bracket tournament against Rosthern Junior College.
