Some good news came last month for Home Hardware Midget AAA Legionnaires netminder Jacob Herman.

The 2002-born goalie was listed by the WHL's Prince George Cougars, after going undrafted in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Swift Current product is in his rookie season at the Midget AAA level, and sports a 9-4 record, .890 save-percentage (15th-highest in the league), a 2.92 goals-against-average (8th-lowest), and two shutouts for the Legionnaires in the regular season.

He also led the Midget AA league in goals-against last season, boasting an average of just 2.09 against with the Midget AA Broncos in the regular season, and 2.06 goals-against in the playoffs.

Herman will get the start in net for the Legionnaires in their first game of 2019, as Swift is on the road Tuesday night against the Notre Dame Hounds.

Herman and the Legionnaires take on the Hounds at 8 p.m. in Wilcox.
