There is plenty of action this weekend in high school volleyball, football, golf, and soccer.

     The Comp High School Colts host the annual Subway Classic this weekend, with 16 of the best teams in high school volleyball coming to the city. The tournament started yesterday and continues today.

     The Shaunavon Shadows continue to be the team to beat in SWAC 9-man football, after they hammered Assiniboia 57-0 Thursday.  They are now at 4-0 on the season.  Shaunavon's Tyler Sonen had three touchdowns in the game. Yesterday, Maple Creek beat Gull Lake 28-7.

     The Comp High School Ardens soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season with an 11-0 win over Moose Jaw Peacock Thursday.  Grade nine Midfielder Cassidy Andres had a first-half hat trick to lead the scoring.  The Ardens head to Moose Jaw for games against Weyburn and Estevan today.

     The Comp High School golf team defends their provincial silver medal in the Grass Green Championships in Weyburn.  The competitors will golf 36 holes over the weekend.
