Swift Current Broncos forward Brad Hoban celebrated his 300th WHL game on Saturday..

Hoban says he's particularly proud to have played them all in a Bronco uniform.

The Victoria native looked back on his favourite memory.

“I think my favourite was probably just my very first game when I was a 15 year-old, and I was able to get called up, and the team picked me up in Regina, and I played my first game in Brandon, and we lost, I think it was 3-2 in a shootut, and it was a real close one.”

Now Hoban will try and lead a young group into a difficult stretch drive as the Broncos are 8 points back of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Hoban says the Broncos still believe they can make it in.

“The locker room is real possitive. Guys know that we have a team here that can get us back in it, but at the same time we're facing the reality that time is running out here. We only have twenty-plus games here, and Brandon's not going to keep losing forever so we've got to put a string of wins...together to get us close, and get us in it so when we play those three games left, we have with Brandon, that those could decide our fate, if we make the playoffs or not.”

Hoban has 152 points in 300 career games with the Broncos.

He'll try to add to that as they host the Moose Jaw Warriors tonight at the Credit Union iPlex.
