Swift Current Broncos defencemen Julius Honka and Brycen Martin were listed in NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary Players to Watch ranking, leading up to the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Both players were ranked in the “A” list, two of only seven players in the WHL.
Honka, has tallied six points (1G,5A) in two games played with the Broncos this season. The 5’11”, 175-pound product of Jyvaskyla, Finland was selected by the Broncos in the first round, 32nd overall, of the 2013 CHL Import Draft.
Martin, has recorded one goal and three assists for four points in two games played with the Broncos this season. The 6’2”, 185-pound product of Calgary, AB was taken by the Broncos in the 1st round, 2nd overall, of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
