Indians Medicine Hat A Schultz 2
Action between the Indians and Mavericks earlier this season

It's one of the biggest baseball games of the WMBL season so far.

The Swift Current Indians take a seven game winning streak into action against the league leading Medicine Hat Mavericks.

"Anytime that there's a challenge ahead of you of course you want to look forward to that and take it head on," said Indians Coach Joe Carnahan. "They have an outstanding club. They play baseball the right way. They pitch well, have some guys who can really hit, they execute really well and play good defence."

Interview with Joe Carnahan"It's going to be a really good match up for us to test us and see where we're at."

The Mavericks have won both games between the two teams so far, but Swift Current is coming off two straight complete games from their pitchers and have only allowed 12 runs in their last 7 games.

"Our pitchers have been commanding the zone a little bit better," Carnahan said. "Getting ahead of hitters early on."

"Defensively we've been playing a lot sharper... right now things are going pretty well."

Sean Callegari gets the start for the Tribe. He's 3-0 with a 2.17 earned run average and 25 strike outs to 9 walks.
