Tanscowny Stopped Hurricanes

It was a tough game for the Swift Current K-Motel Midget 'AA' Hurricanes Saturday morning.

Having to travel for a rare morning start in Notre Dame, the Hurricanes were doubled up by the Hounds 6-3.

Rhett Carlson got the 'Canes on the board first just under four minutes into the game, however, the Hounds then went on to score three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead late into the opening frame.

With just 19 seconds remaining in the first, Carlson was back it, scoring his second game cutting the lead to 3-2.

Notre Dame tallied the lone goal of the second period, extending their lead back to two.

In the third, Jesse Welsch found the back of the net, pulling Swift Current within one, but that would be as close as they would get.

Notre Dame would score two more times before the final horn sounded.

The Hurricanes will now prepare for a Saturday night home game, as they will host the Weyburn Wings.
