A natural hat trick for Tristan Hermanson boosted the offense for the K-Motel Midget Hurricanes, who got past Weyburn 7-6 in the first game of their second-round provincial playoff series last night on the road.
Hermanson scored his goals in the opening frame, and added an assist on the game-winner by Nick Gillies in the third period.
Brayden Karmazinuk, George Hudec and Parker Wall also scored for the Hurricanes.
Game two of the two-game total point series is Monday at the Fairview Arenas, while the Hurricanes resume league play on Sunday in Estevan.
