The K-Motel Hurricanes during thier 4-0 win over Lumsden/Bethune Saturday night at the Fairview Arenas.

The K-Motel Midget Hurricanes swept a weekend set with Lumsden/Bethune with two big wins over the weekend.

They blanked the Lions 4-0 on Saturday, and followed up with a 12-2 blowout on Sunday.

Jayden Roosen and Hayden Johnston led the scoring on Sunday with three goals each.

Coach Tim Tisdale says it was not what they expected at all, especially with a shorthanded lineup.

“We were pretty concerned going into the game with five regulars out of our line-up, and having to use a few (affiliated players), and playing shorthanded for the second day in a row, but the guys showed a lot of character and we battled, and competed, and really went to the net hard today.”

The Hurricanes next action is Friday when they host the Regina Capitals.
