The K-Motel Midget AA Hurricanes kicked off a three-game in four-day stretch with a 3-0 loss to the Regina Capitals on the road Thursday night.

The Hurricanes will have two home games this weekend against the Notre Dame Hounds Saturday at 7:30pm and the Melville Millionaires at 1:45pm on Sunday, both at the Credit Union iplex.

Other minor hockey action this weekend has the Home Hardware Midget AAA Legionnaires visiting the Beardy's Blackhawks on Saturday and the Prince Albert Mintos on Sunday, and the Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats have a pair of home games against the Prince Albert Bears, with Saturday's game being the annual "Cats for the Cure" fundraiser for breast cancer research. The team will be wearing pink jerseys on the ice and there will be special events in the intermissions and a bake sale in the lobby. Face-off Saturday is at 7:45pm at the Fairview Arenas, and the two teams play again Sunday at 1:15pm, also at the Fairview.
