The K-Motel Midget AA Hurricanes are heading into the Christmas break on a seven-game unbeaten streak.

George Hudec scored the only goal for the Hurricanes in a 1-1 tie with the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds at home Tuesday night.

"It wasn't much different from any other game," said Hurricanes Head Coach Greg Hurrell. "We battled hard, in the second period, we came back and tied it up and got 20 shots. Third period, we battled hard. They didn't score for 40 minutes, we did. I'm happy with it."

The Hurricanes trailed 1-0 after the first period, and Hurrell says they turned up the intensity to get on the board and earn the draw.

"I had a good chat with the boys about what our expectations were for the rest of the game, and they battled hard," he added. "If we play like that for the rest of the season, there are not too many teams that are going to compete with us."

The Hurricanes come into the break with an 11-6-5 record, and host Lumsden/Bethune in their first game back on January 4th.
