The K-Motel Midget Hurricanes suffered their first loss since November 22nd with a 3-2 setback Thursday night in Moose Jaw, which snapped a 17-game unbeaten streak.

Swift Current has three more games this weekend, including tonight's home date with the Lumsden/Bethune Lions at 7:45pm from the Fairview Arenas. The two teams play again Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm from the Fairview before the Hurricanes travel to Estevan for the second game of their 2nd round provincial playoff series, which they lead 7-1.

Meanwhile, the SWT Pee Wee Broncos were eliminated from Provincials after losing to Weyburn 6-3 Thursday night on the road. Swift Current had a 6-4 lead in the total point series after game one, but Weyburn tied the aggregate at 9-9 to force an overtime period, where they scored the winner with 3:16 remaining.

The Pee Wees host Moose Jaw in league play Saturday at 5:00pm from the Fairview Arenas.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats will open a weekend of exhibition games in Manitoba today, when they take on the Yellowhead Chiefs tonight in Neepawa. They'll play the Chiefs again Saturday morning in Brandon before travelling to Hartney to take on the Westman Wildcats Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
