The Kootenay Ice are in a huge hole at the Memorial Cup in Mississauga, Ontario.

They lost to the host St. Mike's Majors 2-1 in round-robin play Sunday night, to drop to 0-2 at the tournament. Former Broncos Captain Cody Eakin had the lone goal for the Ice, who need to beat the top-ranked Saint John Sea Dogs in their final round-robin game Tuesday to have any chance of staying alive.

The Sea Dogs take on Owen Sound in today's game.
