The Swift Current Indians have announced three additions to their roster for the upcoming WMBL season.

Lefty Anthony Armanino joins the Tribe from Lewis and Clark State College. He went 10-1 with a 1.99 earned run average last season. This season he has a 2.44 ERA and opponents are hitting .213 against him.

Righty Michael Noteware also comes to Swift Current from Lewis and Clarke. He went 9-3 with a 2.23 ERA in 2012 before red-shirting this year due to health concerns. The Indians say he is healthy and ready to play this summer.

Swift Current is also adding lefty Jason Gibson from McNeese State University. He's a Victoria product and has averaged more than a strikeout an inning throughout college.

"Anthony and Mike are impact pitchers for one of the top baseball programs in all of North America in Lewis and Clark State College," said Indians Coach Joe Carnahan. "Not only will we get talented pitchers whom have pitched on a big stage but also tough individuals whom know how to win. Jason is a very good left handed pitcher that has strikeout stuff. He is an experienced pitcher and adds another key left handed pitcher to our staff. We expect all three of these guys to make an immediate impact on the mound for us this summer.”

The Indians open the WMBL season on May 31rst and we will bring you a selection of games on the Eagle 94.1 FM again this summer.
