The Swift Current Indians open the season just two weeks from now, and they've made some additions to their pitching staff.
The team announced they're bringing in right-hander Marc-Andre Habeck from Winnipeg, and Mike Frericks, another righty, from St. Cloud, Minnesota. Habeck is in his sophomore season with Frank Phillips College where he has compiled a 14-6 record over two seasons, while Frericks is attending Wayne State College in Nebraska where he posted a 5-3 record and a 2.96 ERA in his junior season last year.
The Indians kick off the season May 29th in Melville with the home opener on May 31st against Weyburn.
