The Swift Current Indians cut deeper into Moose Jaw's lead in the WMBL's Central Division with a 9-4 win over the Miller Express Saturday afternoon at Mitchell Field.

The Tribe got their offense going early with Eros Modena slugging a two-run home run in the first inning. Liam Goodall hit a long ball of his own to lead off the 8th, and Taylor Steen also drove in a pair of runs.

Sean Callegari got the win on the mound with six strikeouts and three runs allowed over 7-1/3 innings.

The Indians pick up their fourth win in a row and second in three days against Moose Jaw to cut the Millers' division lead to 1-1/2 games.

Swift Current will host the Weyburn Beavers Sunday afternoon at Mitchell Field at 2:05pm.
