It was a heartbreaker for the Swift Current Indians.

The WMBL leading Regina Red Sox pulled off a three run, two out rally in the bottom of the 10th inning to beat the Tribe 8-7.

Swift Curent scored twice in the top of the 10th, but after striking out two out of three batters, reliever Kendall Motes couldn't hold the lead.

A triple tied it and Chris Utereiner hit a walk off base hit for Regina.

Carter Yagi had three hits for the Tribe and Cam Newell continued his hot play going 2 for 4.

Swift Current product Luke Barry had a hit and two runs scored in a losing cause.

Newell has eight hits in his last three games.

Indians Starter Marck Hendrick only made it through two innings, allowing four runs on four hits. Larsen Kohler pitched six strong innings of one run ball for the Tribe in rlief.

The Indians are off until Sunday when they host the Yorkton Cardinals live on The Eagle 94.1 FM
