Indians Medicine Hat A Schultz 2

The Swift Current Indians have dropped their second in a row heading into the playoffs.

They lost 9-7 to Medicine Hat in the regular season finale Tuesday night in the Gas City, despite the Tribe getting 11 hits and four players getting RBI.

Will Holbrook took the loss on the mound pitching in relief of Noah Gapp, who allowed six hits and three earned runs in five innings.

The Indians finish the regular season with a Central Division leading 29-17 record, but head into the playoffs on a two-game losing skid which included a 4-3 loss on Monday against the Weyburn Beavers, whom they take on in the first round of playoffs.

Game one of the playoff series is tonight at 7:05pm from Mitchell Field, with game two set for Thursday also in Swift Current.
