The Swift Current Indians had a group of 10 or 12 players yesterday evening at Mitchell Field as they attempted to get some quality practice time in before Monday's home and season opener against Edmonton.

"No place is better.  It's great to be out here," said 4th-year Indian Shaun Lee, who is back up for another season of baseball.

Lee knows, every year at this time, it's a feeling out process among him and his new teammates.  "It's a fun time; you have to feel it out.  It's just like brothers and sisters out here.  You have to find out who you can push to the limits and not get in trouble.  Same thing here, you have to slowly get to know who's who and who likes what; that's how you gel as a team."

The Indians are hoping the rain will stay away over the next few days as they work on preparing for Monday's game.

The Meet the Indians dinner is set for Sunday beginning at 4:30pm from the Palliser Pavillion.  Tickets are available at the door.
