The Swift Current Indians suffered another tough loss at home, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Regina Red Sox at Mitchell Field Tuesday night.
The Tribe trailed 4-0 in the seventh, then Matt Spillman scored Chad Schultz on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning, then Josh Siemens drove in Taylor Steen on a single in the eighth, but that's as far as the rally would go.
Starter Steve Thompson took the loss on the mound, allowing one hit and three runs over 5-1/3 innings while striking out eight batters.
The Indians fall to 6-and-9 and are now 3.5 games back of Central Division leading Moose Jaw, whom they host Thursday night after a quick road trip to Saskatoon tonight.
