The Swift Current Indians had their annual awards banquet season wrap-up last night at the Eagles Hall.

    The team put a close to a season that saw them finish as league runners-up for the 2nd straight year to the Okotoks Dawgs.

    Okotoks took the WMBL Championship final three-games-to-one to take a 2nd straight league championship.

    Despite the loss to end the season, Coach Joe Carnahan was happy with his first year as Indians bench boss.

    "For being my first year and a lot of unanswered questions... I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys to work with.  These guys battled all season long and we won the regular season championship.  We put ourselves in position to win the WMBL title but just fell a little short."
